About the job

For our fast-moving digital health company, we are looking for a Clinical Scientist. You'll play a key role in defining our solutions, bringing them to market, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities

  • Engage and collaborate with clinical experts in several clinical areas for co-development of our (new) solutions.

    • Maintain and develop a network of clinical Key Opinion Leaders (KOL’s) and jointly drive ideation and feasibility studies on future solutions in line with the HealthSage AI strategy.

  • Provide feedback and input on the roadmap towards the long-term clinical strategy of HealthSage AI.

  • Write research proposals, publish studies with our customers, and apply for grants.

  • Act as the clinical voice towards our engineering team. As a Clinical Product Owner you'll help define and prioritise the backlog.

  • For our Large Language Models, you select the clinical data sets for training, develop strategies to minimize bias, and clinically evaluate the models. You'll also perform clinical data modelling.

  • Ensure that our solutions are safe and regulatory compliant.

  • Work with the marketing team to ensure our content is clinically sound and relevant.

  • Prepare and deliver roadmap presentations to current or future customers focused on the clinical components of the value proposition.

  • Keep abreast of clinical, regulatory, market, and design developments in the relevant areas through clinical workflow analysis, Medical Advisory Boards, frequent clinical visits, literature research and conference participation.

  • The role has a global focus however most time will be spent in Europe.

Given that we are an early-stage start-up your role with be truly diverse and contain both strategic as well as hands-on elements. You should be willing to roll-up your sleeves and get into the details whenever required.

Qualifications

  • You have a MD and/or PhD degree in biomedical sciences, or a related discipline, with at least 3 - 5 years of working experience.

    • OR you have a Master’s degree with demonstrable experience consistent with the position responsibilities.

  • Proven experience in running or supporting clinical investigations.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with a diverse group of people (healthcare staff, marketing and sales, AI and software engineers).

  • Prior industry experience in a customer-facing role is desired, but not required.

  • Hands-on experience with ISO 13485 and Software as a Medical Device regulations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Ability to take a hands-on approach to problem-solving and project management/execution.

  • Must have the ability to travel to hospitals, healthcare IT partners, and attend medical congresses.
